Rad mission sale11/29/2023 I have just clicked past 600 miles on it with the screen and I have been running a stupid zip tie chain guide with a cut down chain for about 200 miles. The only edge I have on the rideal is that it can be screen hacked to 24 mph and with some help I can easily pin it against the limit for most of my commute. It's a good bike and I hope it runs like a champ but, I plan on selling my stock battery and upgrading. For the amount I spent in some ways I wish I had gotten the aerial rideal. I added the screen, rear rack, and fenders. Eventually I can see how it might be fun to trick out a different bike with a powerful motor for zooming around like a mini motorcycle - that would be a different thing for me. Overall this has been a great entry into e-bikes. Steep hills require getting a good head start, and typically slow me down a lot even with me pedaling and the bike at full throttle. Not sure if a thumb throttle would be better, especially since I rely on it exclusively for assist. Would consider upgrading it but it is otherwise comfortable. The throttle feels a little cheap and fragile. Wiping the discs with rubbing alcohol has helped but I can't seem to completely get rid of it. Took it to my LBS and they adjusted it, but since then have had lots of brake squeal. Put the kit together myself and initially had bad brake rubbing. Considering installing aftermarket hydraulic calipers, but again - complexity? Also, I'm wearing the pads down pretty fast and will likely need to replace them soon. I find the mechanical disc brakes to be slightly under performing in stopping power.
